Answer:

Prometheus, in Greek religion, one of the Titans, the supreme trickster, and a god of fire. His intellectual side was emphasized by the apparent meaning of his name, Forethinker. In common belief he developed into a master craftsman, and in this connection he was associated with fire and the creation of mortals. The Greek poet Hesiod related two principal legends concerning Prometheus. The first is that Zeus, the chief god, who had been tricked by Prometheus into accepting the bones and fat of sacrifice instead of the meat, hid fire from mortals. Prometheus, however, stole it and returned it to Earth once again. As the price of fire, and as punishment for humankind in general, Zeus created the woman Pandora and sent her down to Epimetheus (Hindsight), who, though warned by Prometheus, married her. Pandora took the great lid off the jar she carried, and evils, hard work, and disease flew out to plague humanity. Hope alone remained within.

Hesiod relates in his other tale that, as vengeance on Prometheus, Zeus had him nailed to a mountain in the Caucasus and sent an eagle to eat his immortal liver, which constantly replenished itself; Prometheus was depicted in Prometheus Bound by Aeschylus, who made him not only the bringer of fire and civilization to mortals but also their preserver, giving them all the arts and sciences as well as the means of survival.

hope this helps

Explain how to promote an enabling and positive culture conducive to eating and drinking
slava [35]

Explanation:

There is a growing interest in promoting a positive culture in domiciliary care / home care services.

Increasingly, positive culture is becoming more recognised as important in contributing to the effectiveness of any service, yet it is an area that until recently that has tended to be overlooked. CQC have recognised the importance of a positive culture. In the Key Lines of Enquiry Well Led Prompts; the question is asked “How does the service promote a positive culture that is person-centred, open, inclusive and empowering?”

There is often a lack of understanding of what culture really means. A useful social care definition can be seen as ‘staff having a way of thinking, behaving and working that complies to the ethos and values of the service’. Culture affects practically all aspects of organisational life from the way in which people interact with each other to how they go about their work and the way decisions are made. It serves as a powerful force drawing people together and creating a sense of cohesion or division, defining what values and behaviour are acceptable and unconsciously telling people “how things are done around here”.

Why is culture so important? Research shows that the culture of a service directly affects the quality of life of Service Users. (My Home Life). It has become increasingly recognised that staff and Service Users are interdependent and this needs to be considered when fostering positive cultures in care services.

what did the battle of kettle creek and the siege of savannah have to do with Georgia in the revolutionary war?
Softa [21]

Answer:

I have absolutely no idea if this'll help but i'll tell you what i know.

Explanation:

The Siege of Savannah (September 23 to October 18, 1779) refers to the failed attempt by American and French forces to retake the port city from its British occupiers. It was one of the costliest battles of the Revolutionary War in terms of casualties.

The British believed if they marched an army through Georgia and the Carolinas, thousands of Southern loyalists would flock to the royal banner. The loyalists at Kettle Creek were headed to Augusta when 340 Patriot Militiamen under the command of Andrew Pickens of South Carolina and John Dooly and Elijah Clarke of Georgia caught up with them. The Patriots routed the Loyalists. It was a small victory, but it was significant, and provided a morale boost for the American cause, after Savannah had fallen two months earlier. The Patriot victory frustrated the British and dealt a severe blow to loyalist recruitment in Georgia, after Americans fought Americans at Kettle Creek on February 14, 1779
