In her poem “Dew,” Sara Teasdale uses a conceit in order to illustrate _____.
Soloha48 [4]

The right answer is the D: In order to illustrate how romantic love makes the world seem new. The author starts by lyrically describing the refreshing, bright, and regenerating effect of dew and dawn on nature (she uses terms such as stars, jewels, bright and gem) in order to compare it with the one that the love of his lover ("fresh as the dawn") has on her. That love, like the dew and the dawn, has made a path for her where everything along the way shines as she passes by, solely for her own pleasure. It is, therefore, this romantic love that makes her seeing the world new, full of light and delicacy.

son4ous [18]

Answer: C. Eugene can claim to know everything but still not know everything, a behavior which may fit better as a teenager, thus making him it more believably human.

Explanation:

You didn't give the passage where you got the options from and I couldn't get it online as well but based on some information gathered online, the answer is option C.

The option that summarizes the advantage(s) of the program's teen persona is that Eugene can claim to know everything but still not know everything, a behavior which may fit better as a teenager, thus making him it more believably human.

Therefore, the correct option is C.

1. In her poem, "What Your Mother Tells You Now," Mitsuye Yamada writes,
exis [7]

Answer:

C.) The line breaks make sure that the reader slows down as they read

Explanation:

The poem has these breaks in the lines to serve as a way for the reader to see the emphasize on the meaning behind the words.

"What your mother tells you

now

in time

you will come to know",

The bolded words are read slower and the meaning is emphasized on them compared to if the poem were written as, "What your mother tells you now in time you will come to know." Thus these breaks trigger the reader to slow down and fathom the meaning of the words more.
