The author suggests that the desire to belong is a very powerful—if not the most powerful—human emotion. Do you agree or disagre
Pavlova-9 [17]

Answer with Explanation:

Yes, I agree with the assertion that the desire to belong is a very powerful-if not the most powerful-human emotion. It stems from the human need of <em>"belongingness." </em>People live in a society, thus it is very natural for them to want to belong, so they can be accepted.

This desire is powerful and it can be explained in many situations. For example, a girl is very close with his girlfriends. One day, she noticed that each of them bought the latest gadget in school. Since she wanted to fit in and be accepted by them, she'll also ask her parents to buy her the same gadget.

<u>However, there are disadvantages to having such a powerful desire depending on your motivation.</u> If a person's motivation to belong is<em> due to pleasing other people, then he will feel more lonely and dissatisfied. </em>He will then follow a pattern of seeking approval every time.

What do you think the honeysuckle and the bees represent in the story bile
Ivanshal [37]
I believe, honeysuckle and bees represent the little glimmer of hopes that the narrator felt to escape the toxicity in his house.
Whenever the father start yelling again, the beautiful view of honeysuckle and the sounds made by the bees will help the narrator to seclude all noises from the screaming father.

Stella [2.4K]

Hi. I believe you want this story to be complemented. So, I hope the answer below can help you.

One day while serving tea, rhyme broke a tea cup. So, her mistress, possessed of rage, grabbed her by the arm and shook her violently as she yelled, "Clumsy! You broke the cup that was given to me by my parents, you does not deserve forgiveness."

The mistress took her hand to hit Rima violently. Rima, already waiting for the impact she would receive from the slap, closed her eyes tightly and turned her face to the side. There was nothing she could do to defend herself and the fear and anxiety made her cry violently as she whispered apologies.

While waiting for the slap she would receive, Rima noticed that her master entered the room and grabbed her wife's hand, who pushed Rima to the floor and started screaming about how much Rima should be punished. The master asked his wife to calm down and said that hitting the poor girl would not bring the cup back and asked the wife not to give so much importance to material things, especially when they can be replaced.

He walked towards Rima, lifted her off the ground and asked her to stop crying because no one would harm her. Rima was still very scared, but grateful for the master's words.

He asked Rima to go to the kitchen and asked another girl to serve the tea.

Still sad and shaken, Rima obeyed him and on her way to the kitchen, she thanked God, in silent prayer, for living with a man as wise as the master.
