The correct answer to this open question is the following.

Although there are no options attached we can say the following.

The circumstance that prevented the United States from destroying the Shokaku was that it was the premier Japanese ship in the Pacific theater of World War II, and was a difficult target to hit.

During the Battle of the Philippine Sea, scouts from the USS Lexington found the Japanese ships and attacked them with torpedo planes. Another US Navy ship, the USS Yukon also help in the attack with airplanes. However, the torpedos did not hit the Shokaku. The American aircraft carriers and the torpedo systems had problems.

The attack that partially functioned was the airplane attack that hit and damaged the Japanese ship.

What did the New Jersey plan support the idea of ?
nexus9112 [7]

Answer:

In the New Jersey Plan, the government would have one legislative house in which each state would have one vote.

Explanation:

The plan argued for increasing the power of the federal government to correct problems with the Articles of Confederation, but maintaining the single house of Congress which existed under the Articles of Confederation. In Paterson's plan, each state would get one vote in Congress, so there would be equal power divided among states regardless of population.
