A couple had finally gotten a break from their jobs, which proved to be a big deal, with them being a studying physician and sergeant in the military. They had gone on a trip to two countries in Central America, Mexico and Guatemala. After the last trip to Mexico City, a place buzzing with movement, they arrived back home with a souvenir from each tourist attraction they visited. One of the most remarkable locations they went to was an aquarium. The aquarium was filled with exotic wildlife, including things largely found in the Gulf of Mexico, such as axolotls and Bryde’s Whales. From that aquarium, a souvenir they had bought was a pink shirt, for the sergeant. That night, before finally falling asleep, he randomly threw the shirt off, into the darkness of the room.

When woken up by his alarm in the morning, his shirt was nowhere to be found. Neither was his laundry basket in its usual spot. A strange occurrence, considering his spouse never got up this early in the morning. He got out of bed and walked to the room where his clothes got cleaned, needing to get dressed for work. When he opened the dryer, his sight was filled with pink, and he suddenly had a hard time breathing. His dog walked in, giving eager rubs to his legs. He begrudgingly kicked his dog away, lightly, when his spouse walked into the room.

"Can you believe this little guy? When I woke up to make breakfast for your first day back to work, your clothes were all over the floor, and she was holding your pants in her mouth!" His spouse scoffed. "I hope you don’t mind me cleaning your clothes, but when you’re ready, I got pancakes on the table."

The sergeant let out a strangled groan when his spouse left the room, and sent a glare to his dog, who was staring up at him guiltily. He looked down to his watch, and went into panic when he noticed only thirty minutes was left on the clock to get to work. All he could do was hope that this dye wasn’t of permanence, and deal with it for a bit.

That day, he went to work with pink stained clothes, as opposed to the standard white required, avoiding eye contact with even his subordinates.

I hope this is okay!! Sorry if it’s not :)

Example: Three grey geese in a field grazing. Grey were the geese and green was the grazing.

Onomatopoeia: the formation of a word from a sound associated with what is named

Example: The bridge collapsed creating a tremendous boom.

According to Miller, why has The Crucible become his most-produced play?
matrenka [14]

According to Arthur Miller, The Crucible has become his most-produced play because most people see the story as their own. It is about witch-hunt in Salem and the trials that took place there in 1692. Miller compares in the play these witch trials with the ones that took place in the U.S. People feared being accused of having communist ideas by the McCarthyism without proper evidence. There was an anti-communist rage that reached tremendous proportions, there was not just a hunt for subversive people, but for ideas. Miller himself was prosecuted and convicted. The Crucible is one of the surviving fragments of the McCarthy period.
