Part of growing up is changing. Write about a time in the past 2-3 years when you realized that you had changed.
Sergio [31]

Answer:

I used to be loud and bubbly, but now I just sit around quietly and listen to music. My mindset has completely changed from when I was in 7th grade. Now, I feel more stressed and it's hard to focus. I feel like I have to meet everyone's expectations. I just want to be who I used to be. Sometimes I feel like someone else. I have to worry about my future and college which is stressful, to say the least. My life has changed in many positive ways, too.  I have so many good friends to help me when I feel stressed and sad. So friends come and go, but it's probably for the best.  My friends are good influences and they are kind. They have influenced me to be a better person. I have positively influenced them as well.

I hope this is good. You can make as many edits as you need!

Which line from "I, Too" most directly responds to the following line from "I Hear America Singing"? "Each singing what belongs
tresset_1 [31]
B) "I, too, sing America.

Langston Hughes responds to the poem by addressing a lack of representation of the African American experience, both in the poem and in American society in general.
The poem "I Hear America Singing" by Walt Whitman touches on the varied experiences and individualism of the US, by describing the different songs of various people, from carpenters to ship-hands to a girl sewing, "<span>Each singing what belongs to him or her, and to none else".
Mr. Hughes' creative response is to inform "America" that, as a black man in America, he too sings, that he too has had his own experience. However, it is perhaps more difficult and not as celebrated as the ones in the poem, and even not allowed to be sung everywhere in America. But one day this will change, and his voice will be heard, and will join the chorus of unique American voices. </span>
