How was the chartist movement related to suffrage?
beks73 [17]
Chartism was promoting votes for men and a few other things.  They believed in votes for women, and, indeed had some women's groups, but felt that to support women's suffrage too openly might take away from the men's rights they were fighting for.

Describe life in America and how it had changed socially, politically, and economically post WW1 (3 examples per topic).
romanna [79]

Answer: Aftermath consequences of WW1

Explanation:

The United States entered the first world war in 1917 after three years from its breakout and brought about a considerable change in many aspects of the American life. In his fourteen points Wilson discussed the problems that he thought had caused the war (imperialism, territorial disagreement and nationalism). The American president opened in this way the doors to democracy and inspired female suffragists to start their fight for vote and gender equality. There was therefore a significant social change after WW1 and with the support of Wilson  women were granted to vote. Encouraged by this wave of democracy African American too started to demand civil rights. Politically speaking, the war redefined America's role, however, a fierce debate took place between the advocates for isolation and for expansion.

The war also had significant and positive economical impact as the United States made a lot of loans to the UK contributing in this way to the so called "roaring twenties" an economical flourishing time for the United States .
