Black History Awareness Month is very important. It helps highlight famous African-American explorers, discoverers, and ensures that black lives don't go unnoticed. Schools assign projects that document different African-Americans and the expeditions they took. Even though people are more accepting in this day and age of the black community more than ever in history, we need to continue to establish justice and conserve the lives of African-Americans!
