Answer:

Beginning in 1823, with the opening of Lowell's first factory, large numbers of young women moved to the growing city. In the mills, female workers faced long hours of toil and often grueling working conditions. Yet many female textile workers saved money and gained a measure of economic independence.

Answer:

Improved Cash Flow

Explanation:

On its own, a loan will improve your cash flow by giving you access to more capital. That benefit is compounded when your monthly payments are lower due to a longer loan term. By extending the length of the loan, therefore lowering your monthly payments, you have more money available each month

How did abolitionists respond to the capture of Shadrach Minkins?
guajiro [1.7K]

Answer:

Shadrach Minkins was an African-American fugitive slave from Virginia who escaped in 1850 and reached Boston. He also used the pseudonyms Frederick Wilkins and Frederick Jenkins. He is known for being freed from a courtroom in Boston after being captured by United States marshals under the Fugitive Slave Act of 1850. Members of the Boston Vigilance Committee freed and hid him, helping him get to Canada via the Underground Railroad. Minkins settled in Montreal, where he raised a family. Two men were prosecuted in Boston for helping free him, but they were acquitted by the jury.
