The red man represents Native Americans during the time. However the word generous is not the word I would use describe it because things like this led to the trail of tears and love to the uprooting of Native Americans from their homes for the sake of manifest destiny. And due to this drive for Western expansion especially fronted by the gold rush those in office didn’t quite care about what they had to do because they were trying to follow the money. As a result of many native Americans swing uprooted they were forced to find a home elsewhere and many other children were sent away to boarding school camps where they would be forced to convert to christianity
