Answer:George agreed for Candy to join because Candy has money to boost them up and Candy can help out in the farm. Candy asked to be in the dream because he's worthless and the people on the ranch don't care about him because of his weakness and age . He knows they're are gonna kick him out of the ranch cause nobody cares about him .

Setting: Late afternoon in a field outside the airport force field

Conflict: The need for food, water, etc. and a mirror to break through other potential force fields. --kate ended up using a broken mirror to finally escape, she knew this would work to break through any other force fields.

Rising Action:

1. Finding a truck used to deliver food to the airport

2. Shattering the mirror in the truck

Climax: The characters used the shattered mirror from the delivery truck in order to break through the force field

Resolution to Conflict:   After breaking the force field, they were finally able to access the warehouse where all the stored airport food is and they finally escaped for freedom

Theme: Never give up, even when things appear to be hopeless-- Kate initially tried several times to escape but often failed. She never gave up and kept being persistent until she was finally able to escape along with Mr. Jacks and his dog.
