Explanation:
Rumors have spread around the small town of Graycott, majority of the citizens laugh at the mention of the rumor for they find it ridiculously unbelievable. This rumor revolves around the woods surrounding the town, supposedly if you go deep within the woods so far that you forget which is back you'll come upon many known to be mythical creatures. Only a topic like this could spike youngsters interest, more specifically a group of middle schoolers. These middle schoolers have been planning an adventure into the woods ever since the rumour was first spoken of, once the dark hours begin they'll walk into the woods with their heads held high never to look back.
'Where have you gone charming billy' ~ is like is a joke you right, you're not dead but went somewhere or to get something. He never expected it so he laughed maybe he will come out of this hallucinations or dream.
In my opinion it makes the most sense.. I searched definition of all of them and verbal irony seemed more accurate. According to the definition I found of verbal irony it states, "verbal irony in which a person says or writes one thing and means another" :-) hoped this helped a bit
