Was China's one-child policy good for China and its people? Why or why not?

This policy caused many families to put their daughters up for adoption or in their lives. This caused a plethora of males in the country who did not have females to meet with therefore it did decrease the population but in a very unhealthy way since in entire generation did not populate the country at all

yes because if the population is too high, maybe there won't be enough resources for everyone.
