Which reforms did the Paris Commune want in government?
antiseptic1488 [7]
I'm going to guess we're talking here about the Paris Commune that took over the city in 1871 -- the more famous Paris Commune. (There was also a Paris Commune which functioned at the city government of Paris during a portion of the French Revolution, from 1792-1795.)

So let's briefly tell the 1871 story. After the French lost the Franco-Prussian War, the people of Paris got control of the Parisian National Guard cannons that were in the city. The French military could not take control of the city; in fact, some of the military broke ranks with their officers and joined the Paris citizens' commune. The Paris Commune was essentially a socialist form of government, founded by the radical factions (both socialist and anarchist) that had taken hold of the city. They declared Paris an independent commune and wanted all of France to become a federation of such communes, in which all persons had equal status and workers' councils were formed.

What was the Reconstruction Act of 18677 Who was supporting it? Why?
MaRussiya [10]

Answer:

The Reconstruction Acts of 1867 began the period of time known as Radical Reconstruction. These laws included the following measures:

The South was divided into five military districts and governed by military governors until acceptable state constitutions could be written and approved by Congress.

All males, regardless of race, but excluding former Confederate leaders, were permitted to participate in the constitutional conventions that formed the new governments in each state.

New state constitutions were required to provide for universal manhood suffrage (voting rights for all men) without regard to race.

States were required to ratify the Fourteenth Amendment in order to be readmitted to the Union.

In what way did the movement toward independence in India differ from that of Korea? India achieved independence much earlier th
Rufina [12.5K]

The correct answer is B) Korea achieve independence because Japan lost the war.

The movement toward independence in India differs from that in Korea in that Korea achieve independence because Japan lost the war.

The Japanese had invaded Korea and annexed it in 1910. The Korean independence leaders had to leave Korea and went to China, under the support of the Nationalist Government of China.

China became an Allied during World War II, so with the Declaration of El Cairo in 1943, Korea should be an independent nation, but the Soviet-Japanese War did not allow that to happen. The result of that confrontation divided Korea into North Korea, controlled by the Soviet Union, and South Korea, under the influence of the United States.
