Why do you think it makes a difference to hear the play performed out loud as opposed to reading it in a book?
Vlada [557]

Answer:

It makes a difference because reading it in your head can sound different. Especially in the English language, words can mean different things depending on the stress on each word. If you hear a play performed out loud, there's not a lot of ways the text can be misconstrued, as it's being acted out and said in the exact way the play-write intended it to be.

Poetry became my passion, after I fell in love with Walter de la Mare's "Silver" in Mrs. Edna Pickett's sophomore English class, circa 1962.

Introduction and Text of "Days"

Ralph Waldo Emerson's "Days" offers eleven lines, an American Innovative Near-Sonnet, a term I coined. Near-Sonnets offer even more intensity than the traditional sonnet, while delivering the beauty of the traditional form.

This poem has gathered quite a few pages of ink from scholars and critics arguing about the meaning of the term "hypocritic" from the first line, "Daughters of Time, the hypocritic Days." Some have argued that the term should be thought of as "deceivers" while other insist that hypocritic merely means "actors." The controlling literary device is personification and thus both "actors" and "deceivers" offer a meaningful choice to those who wish to opine.

How my life would be different if I had a twin
elena55 [62]

Explanation:

It's the feeling of never being completely alone; there's always someone on your side. Being a twin doesn't feel like there is another “you.” Instead it feels like together we make one; that we complement and complete each other. We are the Yin to each other's Yang! It's having a teammate for life.
