Why is it challenging to apply the test of the truthfulness of the premises to ideological arguments?
Inga [223]

It is challenging to apply the test of the truthfulness of the premises to ideological arguments because Ideologies offer a truth that people, both the privileged and the underprivileged, want to hear, but they are neither true nor untrue. Instead, they are a collection of socially conditioned beliefs. In the 1920s, a different iteration of the critical viewpoint of ideology and law began to impact American jurisprudence.

What is the purpose of ideologies?

An ideology's major goal is to promote social change or adherence to a set of values when there is already conformity through a normative cognitive process. Politics revolves around the idea of ideologies, which are systems of abstract thought applied to public issues.

Ideological reasoning is a sort of reasoning that is based on an individual's views and is frequently skewed in favor of the individual's preferences. Ideological reasoning occupies a higher position, and when the cause is just, it can aid a person in achieving unimaginable success.

Explain how the transcontinental railroad was built and it importance to manifest destiny (10-13 sentence)
valentina_108 [34]

Answer:

Manifest destiny is a belief that many people in America at that time held. This belief made them convinced that they're somehow destined by God to spread democracy and capitalism to the rest of North America. The people at that time belief that it's the only correct system to ensure the freedom of all citizens.

But due to the large size of its territory, it is difficult to reach many different areas in north America. Railroad companies already exists. But, most of them only operates within one state. This problem was somehow solved by the creation of Transcontinental Railroad.

The transcontinental railroad was built with the intention to create a pathway connect all part of North America. It is an important infrastructure for the American people to create settlements in every corner of the country. This helped them spread the ideologies as intended in Manifest Destiny.
