Karolina [17]

Answer:

100>=500-15x

Step-by-step explanation:

He needs at least 100, so it's greater than OR equal to 100. He starts with 500 and goes down 15 each week. The x stands for the amount of weeks that are in the school year. Sorry for the terrible formatting on the greater than or equal to.

Which condition must be satisfied in order to use the arc length formula L = the integral from a to b of sqrt(1 + f'(x)^2) dx?
ivanzaharov [21]
Looking through my old calc notes, I am reading that f(x) needs to be continuous on [a,b] and f ' (x) also needs to be continuous on [a,b]. Both conditions are needed. If you had to pick just one, then I'd say f(x) being continuous is much more important. Though I'm not 100% sure on this one. My thinking is that if there was any discontinuities on f(x), then the arc length would be distorted and overblown. The arc length should not account for any piece that isn't on the curve.

A set of numbers satisfies Benford’s Law if the probability of a number starting with digit d is P(d) = log(d + 1) – log(d).
irakobra [83]

Interpreting the graph and the situation, it is found that the values of d that can be included in the solution set are 1 and 4.

----------------------

  • According to Benford's law, the probability of a number starting with digit is d is:

P(d) = \log{(d + 1}} - \log{d}

  • A number can start with 10 possible digits, ranging from 1 to 9, which are all integer digits.
  • Thus, d can only assume integer digits.
  • In the graph, the solution is d < 5.
  • The integer options for values of d are 1 and 4.
  • For the other options that are less than 5, they are not integers, so d cannot assume those values.
