The New Deal was an economic and political plan carried out during the presidency of Franklin Delano Roosevelt, between 1933 and 1938, through which a way out of the crisis generated by the Great Depression was sought through direct investment by the government, following Keynesian guidelines. Thus, the government began to create public works programs, such as the Work Progress Administration, among others, through which industry and public works were promoted to reactivate the national economy.
