The reason this sculpture is considered a piece of art is that we can notice many principles of art in the design - the rhythm and movement of arches, the contrast of the color, the asymmetrical balance, and the unity with space.

The sculpture is an imaginative piece of modern art that has possibly the <u>symbolic design</u> in the <u>movement </u><u>of arches and its imagery</u>. The emphasis is on the shape of the red arches. What also makes the design alive and exciting is the <u>contrast </u><u>of color red with the natural green surrounding</u> of the park – it makes it pop up and attracts attention. The sculpture shows us <u>the way asymmetric </u><u>balance</u> works, like the thickness, <u>proportion</u>, and shape of arches are not the same on both sides, yet it <u>feels compact and in </u><u>unity</u>. The <u>harmony </u><u>is felt between the elements</u> as well as with space where the sculpture is set. The <u>composition </u>makes us follow the <u>rhythm </u><u>of the arches</u>, direction the eye to follow them from the bottom to the up.
