Describe 2 effects of the columbian exchange, one positive and one negative.
Andreyy89

The Columbian exchange involved the interaction of two cultural systems that previously had no interaction: European and Amerindian cultures in the New World. One positive aspect of this exchange was the introduction of European culture in the form of social, political and economic systems. The introduction of the English language, growth of towns and cities and systems of barter and currency. A negative impact involved the destruction and eradication of indigenous cultures through war, devastation and relocation. Perhaps the best example of this fact was the destruction of cultures in Mexico and South and Central America such as the Aztec, Maya and Inca.

Question 8 of 33 Compare and contrast the policies of Warren Harding and Calvin Coolidge. Select the correct word to complete ea
cestrela7 [59]

Answer:

A major foreign policy initiative for Coolidge was the Kellogg-Briand Pact, which was an agreement between the United States and other countries to renounce war. A major economic policy initiative for Harding was the Emergency Tariff of 1921, which increased American purchasing power but inflated prices of goods. Both Harding and Coolidge supported the pro-business policies that were known as laissez-faire. Both Harding and Coolidge supported a "return to normalcy," which included isolation from foreign affairs.

Explanation:

Two important presidents during the 1920s were Warren G. Harding and Calvin Coolidge. Both were Republicans, and both were very popular during their own time period. However, they were different in many ways as well. President Warren G. Harding was responsible for an economic recovery and the Emergency Tariff of 1921. Calvin Coolidge, on the other hand, enjoyed a booming economy from the beginning. This allowed him to implement a free market agenda that was more powerful than that of Harding, who had also supported these ideas.

Which explains why Factory owners profits for quickly during the Industrial Revolution
Zinaida [17]
There were many reasons the kids started working at age 8 and worked as many hours as the adults until the Child Labor Laws were out into affect. The other reason was the women did not get paid as much as men. Also, they did not get to have breaks and if you did they were very seldom. So if like you cut your hand you have to come back to work and if you were sick it didn't matter you were expected to come in still and work.
