What's the value? (yelping for help)
horsena [70]

cos(20°) is the correct answer.

Congratulations! This is the unit circle. Literally everyone hates this. Everyone takes this in Trigonometry though, and it's required. I literally failed Trigonometry because of this and had to retake it when getting my degree in Mathematics.

So, what is the x-coordinate of this? Well, for any angle or (angle in triangle) \alpha, the coordinates are always (cos(\alpha), sin(\alpha)).

In this case, angle \alpha is 20°, and so the x-coordinate will be cos(20°) while the y-coordinate will be sin(20°).

Hope this helped!

Suppose that g (x) varies inversely with x and g (x)=0.2 when x = 0.1.
CaHeK987 [17]

Answer : 0.0125

Suppose that g (x) varies inversely with x and g (x)=0.2 when x = 0.1.

If x varies inversely with y then y=k/x

Where k is constant of proportionality

g (x) varies inversely with x , so g(x) = \frac{k}{x}

g (x)=0.2 when x = 0.1

Plug in the values and solve for k

g(x) = \frac{k}{x}

0.2 = \frac{k}{0.1}

Multiply 0.1 on both sides

0.02 = k

so g(x) = \frac{0.02}{x}

Now we need to find g(x) when x= 1.6

Plug in 1.6 for x  and find out g(x) in the above equation

g(x) = \frac{0.02}{1.6}

g(x)= 0.0125

2. Lin is making a window covering for a window like the one shown that has the shape of a
arsen [322]

The Area of the fabric required is 3.6 square feet

The square's side length is 3 feet.

Due to the fact that Lin is creating a window covering for a window that is half circle-shaped on top of a square.

The window covering must therefore be a semicircle with a 3-feet diameter.

thus the semicircle's radius is equal to d/2 = 3/2 feet

Now, the Area of the semicircle,

A =\frac{1}{2} \pi r^{2} \\

Putting the value of the radius in the equation, we have,

A =\frac{1}{2} \pi (\frac{3}{2} )^{2} \\\\A = \frac{1}{2} *\frac{22}{7} *\frac{3}{2} *\frac{3}{2} \\\\A = \frac{99}{28} = 3.53 = 3.6

Hence, The Area of the fabric required = 3.6 square feet

The superhero flew for 3.5 hours and traveled 2,800 miles, At that rate, how far will he travel in 6 hours? (PLEASE SHOW STEPS!!
AysviL [449]
There are a couple ways to do this. The easiest is probably to set up a proportion.
(3.5/2800)=(6/x)
Cross multiply.
3.5x = 6(2800)
3.5x = 16800
Divide both sides by 3.5
X = 4800miles
