I always thought that meat should be thawed in a warm environment and I didn't know that this stimulated the proliferation of bacteria and that the correct thing was for the meat to be thawed in a cold environment, which would prevent the proliferation of bacteria. I also didn't know that meat that has been completely thawed cannot be refrozen, as it promotes resistant bacteria that can be very harmful to health.
Lastly, he did not know the dangers of rare meat and believed that this was a safe eating practice. I now know that meat must be well cooked to avoid poisoning.
