Answer:

Thomas Paine's "Common Sense" introduced new and modern meanings to words such as "republic", "democracy" and "revolution" while establishing a vision of America as the shelter of democratic freedom and influencing the Declaration of Independence.

Explanation:

"Common Sense, Human Rights, and Dissertation on the First Principles of Government" reveal the power of the words of Thomas Paine - one of the most eloquent advocates and signatories of the United States Declaration of Independence and the French Revolution.

These writings played a central role in the struggle for American independence and the democratic revolution that swept the western world in the late eighteenth century. Paine gave new and modern meanings to words like "republic", "democracy" and "revolution" while establishing a vision of America as the shelter of democratic freedom.  Paine was a deep believer in the people's political influence, Paine was the first major pamphlet to address a massive audience. Two centuries later, his words are still remarkable for their vigor, clarity, and ability to inspire.

In the first three months of its publication in 1776, Common Sense became an editorial phenomenon with over 120,000 copies sold. Initially conceived as a series of articles, this work is one of the most famous political treatises of the American Revolution. Published anonymously, it caused a stir among the public, as it called on the people of the American colonies to unite against British rule and thus start the United States War of Independence (1775-1783).

viva [34]

Answer:

Industrial Revolution, in modern history, the process of change from an agrarian and handicraft economy to one dominated by industry and machine manufacturing. This process began in Britain in the 18th century and from there spread to other parts of the world. Although used earlier by French writers, the term Industrial Revolution was first popularized by the English economic historian Arnold Toynbee (1852–83) to describe Britain’s economic development from 1760 to 1840. Since Toynbee’s time the term has been more broadly applied.
