In the medieval times, the King was the owner of people, land and government. Many atrocities were committed in the name of the monarchy. He was the only ruler and did things as his will. Nowadays, people need to value the freedom modern democracies have. Like in those years when the Magna Carta obligated the monarch to accept the laws and the respect people’s rights, now citizens need to be aware to defend the same principles and don’t take things for granted.
Well The british were wanting to make laws and make Americans do what they wanted them to and finally The Americans stood up and fought against it they wanted to be independant!
