What was important about Bartolome Dias' reaching the Cape of Hope?
Usimov [2.4K]
Bartolomeu Dias was the first European explorer to sail around the southern tip of Africa discovering what is called the Cape of Good Hope. This discovery made it possible for Europeans to trade with Asia and India via water instead of across land, which was very expensive at the time.

In at least 150-200 words, choose the act passed by Britain that you believe had the biggest economic impact on the colonies. Su
quester [9]

Answer:

One Mesopotamian contribution that I think had the biggest impact on human history was the development of agriculture techniques and the knowledge to know about the flooding of the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers, so Sumerians could use it for growing crops and to avoid some catastrophes.

The Sumerians were the oldest civilization on planet Earth. They settled in the middle of the above-mentioned Rivers in the Middle East region, modern-day Iraq. They developed great knowledge to built impressive buildings called Ziggurats and formed important city-states such as Uruk, Kish, Ur, and Lagash. Agriculture techniques were a big reason they could settle in these regions.

Was appeasement the right policy for England in 1938
sergey [27]
No, despite Chamberlain's attempts at appeasement his failure to condemn and punish Hitler's consistent violations of the Treaty of Versaille somewhat encouraged it. Not only did his following grow with each shackle broken but so did his means of being able to wage a war as he was allowed to rebuild his military unopposed.

List in chronological order the three french governments
AveGali [126]
Depending on where you want to begin your charting, there are more than three.

France government was under the control of the king up until the French Revolution.

The delegates of the 3rd Estate proclaimed themselves the National Assembly in 1789, and ultimately forced the king (Louis XVI) into a constitutional monarchy relationship.

In September, 1792, France declared itself a republic (now referred to as the First Republic) and the king was removed from office.  (He later was executed.)

During the Reign of Terror (1793-94), the Committee of Public Safety under the leadership of Robespierre controlled the government.

After that tumultuous period, France was under a 5-man committee known as the Directory (1795-99).

Napoleon then came to power in the Consulate government (1799-1804), after which he proclaimed himself emperor of the French Empire (1804-1814).

... We could go further to the period after the Revolution and Napoleon, but I'm assuming your question perhaps pertained to the Revolution era.

Why were slaves an important part of South Carolina’s economic success
Ket [755]

South Carolina used slaves for the same reasons every other state used them for. It helped save them money,

For example, they have to pay someone for work but they used African Americans as slaves by forcing them into labor and not paying them. Resulting in saving of money

So it was important to South Carolina to help save money as well as pick cotton for other important uses.
