How do you decide whether a number is a solution of an inequality

Mathematics

Answer:

  • We can solve inequalities to find all values of the variable that make the inequality true. The idea is to get the variable all by itself on one side of the inequality sign so we can easily see the solutions to the inequality.
  • Hence for any given inequality and for any given number if we put that number in that inequality and see that the given inequality sign holds true than that number will be a solution of the inequality otherwise it is not an solution of the inequality.

An integer is chosen at random from 1 to 50 inclusive. Find the probability that the chosen integer is divisible by 3
kompoz [17]
If an integer is chosen between 1 and 50 inclusive, you have 50 numbers total to deal with, so 50 is in the denominator of our ratio (fraction). All the numbers divisible by 3 in that interval total 16 numbers. So the ratio would be 16/50 for a percentage of 32%

Find the distance between each pair of points.round your awnser to the nearest tenths,if nessesary (-3,-4),(0,0) problem 2 (-8,0
Arte-miy333 [17]

Answer:

1st one: -3,-4 away

2nd one: Lets just say I got kinda confused on that one so sorry for any inconvenience on my behalf from this question.

Step-by-step explanation:

I will call (-3,-4) Point A and I'll call (0,0) Point B. Point A is at (-3,-4) and Point B is obviously at the origin. That makes it easy, because you just subtract Point A by Point B to find how far away they are.

1. Are we limited to using a trigonometric function only in cases of an object that has a cyclical behavior? Is it possible to m
pentagon [3]

Trigonometric functions are not only used in cases of an object that has a cyclical behavior.

<h3>What is a trigonometric function?</h3>

It should be noted that trigonometric functions are real functions that relate the angle of a right angled triangle to the ratios of the two side lengths.

Trigonometric functions are not only used in cases of an object that has a cyclical behavior. It can be used to obtain unknown <em>angles</em> in geometric figures.

It can also be used to model the fluctuations in temperature data for a particular year.

The movement of a yo-yo can be modeled by a sinusoidal curve since it exhibits a periodic behavior.
