          I received the news of your admission into the prestigious University of Birmingham, United Kingdom with great joy. This is a fulfillment of our shared childhood dream of an oversea university education.

         Firstly, I want you to know that I totally support your idea of pursuing a career in civil engineering in an oversea university. Nigeria does not really provide an enabling environment for the growth of the engineering profession hence your decision to pursue an oversea university education in engineering is a step in the right direction.

      Secondly, I want to remind you that you must remain focused on the reason for your journey to the United Kingdom. Do not be carried away by fantasy and loose sight of the primary purpose of your travel to the United Kingdom.
