New York is a state in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeastern regions of the United States. It was one of the original thirteen colonies forming the United States. With a total area of 54,555 square miles (141,300 km2), New York is the 27th largest state. The people of New York are very diverse more than 800 languages are spoken there. New York is also a place where the Statue of Liberty resides many important moments in history happened in NY thats why it’s one of the most well known states. New York leads in industrial garnet production and is a major producer of construction sand and gravel, crushed stone, and salt. It produces cement, common clay, dimension stone, industrial sand and gravel, natural gemstones, and peat.
