Why is it becoming more and more difficult to come up with great prescription drug names?.
aliya0001 [1]

Consistent with Brannon Cashion, worldwide president of branding agency Addison Whitney, the Food and Medicine Administration rejects drug names for the foremost common reason.

What about drug names?

• Pharmaceutical names are given consistent with a system in which certain drug names' syllables, or "stems," transmit details about the substance's chemical makeup, mode of action, or intended use.
• The Roman alphabet is used to construct the generic medicine name, and it's intended to provide a name that can be transmitted internationally.
• The prefix of the name isn't formed using the letters Y, H, K, J, and W since they're not used in certain languages that utilize the Roman alphabet.
• Marketing can't be applied to it.
• The chemical name, the International Nonproprietary Name (INN), usually mentioned as the authorized or generic name, and therefore the proprietary or brand name are the three major names that are used for pharmaceutical compounds.
• They desire an easy , succinct, applicable, and memorable name .
• This is due to the fact that a successful medicine might have a wonderful name. Consider Crestor, Viagra, or Prozac.
• The corporation often doesn't care if people can pronounce or recall the generic medicine names once the brand name's patent has expired
• Since a name is a proper noun, the initial letter must be capitalized like any other brand name.
