The earliest development of Tempietto was commissioned by Ferdinand and Isabella of Spain. At that time, They were known to be devout Christian followers who invested a lot of money to spread Christianity all across the globe.
The first Tempietto was built on a site which believed to be the resting place of St. Peter. The structure of Tempietto is similar to Classical temple, but it possess some characteristic from High Renaissance architecture.
The northwest ordinance of 1787 established a model for later settlement by providing for the availability of a massive amount of undeveloped land in what was considered to be the Northwest United States at the time.
