There were traditional religions that were practiced but Islam greatly spread throughout Ghana and influenced the culture of ancient Ghana. Muslim merchants from the Sahara brought their faith to Ghana.</u><u>Located within the present-day borders of Mauritania, Mali, and Senegal, medieval Ghana literally sat on a gold mine. The land's abundance of resources allowed Ghana's rulers to engage in years of prosperous trading. Strategic governing coupled with great location led to the rapid emergence of a very wealthy empire.</u>
One of the main reasons why states and politicians still choose to be aggressive towards others is because those states and politicians are corrupted. They are corrupted by the want for power and seek to become the most powerful leader. It is because of this that they harm others to seek their own personal gain.
