How do you think ads for acne cures on TV affect teen body image? Explain.
Sergio [31]
Ads for acne cures have a huge affect on teen body image. For teens that have acne, this makes them feel like they have to get rid of it, and when they can't it makes them insecure and upset with themselves. Ads make it seem like nobody else has it and that it's not natural. This just adds the to the stress of being 'perfect'. Usually, people in the comercials already have clear skin. So not only do teens want to get rid of their acne, they also expect to look like the people in the ads. This takes a toll on teens self esteem.
