WHAT ARE THE SOUND SIGNALS DO YOU EXPECT TO HEAR FROM EACH OF THE TARGETS?
Pani-rosa [81]

A SIGNAL is any sound or message that is intended to be listened to, measured, or recorded in contrast to NOISE, which is unwanted sound.

Since sound signals complement their AMBIENT or KEYNOTE context in a similar way that figure and ground are related in visual perception, sound signals are always examined in reference to that context in SOUNDSCAPE investigations. As a result, studying signals also reveals vital details about the whole audio environment. For example, the level of emergency warning signals has increased in lockstep with the AMBIENT NOISE LEVEL of cities over the past century.

Any of the following methods can be used to research sound signals:

  • based on their acoustic properties, which may indicate a recognised code or other pattern pertaining to their use (see TYPOLOGY);
  • subjectively, by their personally perceived meanings;
  • historically, in accordance with their development within a particular social context (see MORPHOLOGY);
  • comparably, by type and function in different cultures or periods;
  • symbolically, in accordance with their connotative and associative meanings.

Sound signals are significant because they control community life and reveal its character. Those with historical value can be referred to as SOUNDMARKS. A sound signal's profile, also known as the acoustic space, can be thought of as its sphere of influence. With increasing background noise levels in contemporary urban areas, many community signals are becoming physically and acoustically less noticeable.

4)
Taya2010 [7]

Based on the information provided, the suffix –ist here most likely means:

“one who practices”

<u>Explanation:</u>

A suffix is/are a group of letters that are added towards the end of a noun or verb which would add more meaning to the word or also change the function of the word.

Regarding the same, the letters –ist is added to the word science which makes it “scientist” and similarly for atom, making it “atomists”. This changes the meaning of the word by making it belong to a person in the form of an occupation that a person holds.

1)It got its/their name from the city of Weimar.
Simora [160]

It was called the Weimer Republic. It was a democratic republic resembling (somewhat) the same sort of government the United States has. It failed for a number of reasons.

The first and most important was that the German population felt they had been sold down the drain. They felt that their government had failed them the moment the Versailles treaty was signed. There were many riots and uprisings that happened during the Republic. It was chaotic in Germany and unstable.

This anger that people felt had all the earmarks of "DO SOMETHING" and do it now. That psychology led to the rise of Hitler, although it was slow in coming. The treaty of Versailles had to be rewritten a couple of times simply because Germany was not paying. The terms were just too steep, but even if they were much more lenient, it wouldn't have made much difference. Germany was just too angry internally.

I would pick the last one, but it is awfully simplistic.
