How did the civil War start?
andrey2020 [161]

It started because Lincoln had won the 1860 election on a ticket of no new slave-states, so the South was doomed to be outvoted in Congress, which would pass laws that favoured the North at the expense of the South. So most of the slave-states broke away to form the Confederate States of America.

As for when it started, there was no actual declaration of war. The Confederacy could claim that it didn't want a war at all; it just wanted to defend its borders. Lincoln could not declare war on the Confederacy, because Congress did not recognise it as a sovereign nation.

The first shots were fired by the Confederates at the US Army garrison on the island of Fort Sumter in Charleston harbour on April 12th 1861, and Lincoln called for volunteer troops. The war was on.

Write a five sentence summary about the beginnings of Islam where it started who started it and why
cricket20 [7]

Islam originated in Mecca and Medina at the start of the 7th century CE, approximately 600 years after the founding of Christianity. The origin of Islam is generally accredited to the prophet Muhammad but to the devout Muslim, Islam began long before Muhammad ever walked the earth. Muhammad believed that he had been told the word of Allah by the angel Gabriel. Muhammad dictated the Qur'an, the holy book of Islam, which Muslims believe to be the pre-existent, perfect words of Allah.  These words are held to by millions of people today.

What are two common key concepts between Christianity and judaism?
Paraphin [41]
Answer:Both religions believe in the Torah Both religions are monotheistic

Explanation: Above all, Judaism and Christianity are monotheistic, so-called Abraham's religions. While the Jews have and respect the Old Testament, where the Torah is among others, they do not recognize the New Testament. In addition, the Jews also have a Talmud. Christians recognize the New Testament and Old Testament, and so does Torah. In addition, Christians acknowledge the records of the holy fathers of the Church. So it can be said that Christians and Jews share only the Old Testament.
The Jews do not believe that Christ is the Messiah, the Son of God, while the Christians believe in it, that is, the Christians believe in the Holy Trinity.
Christians visit the Churches, while the Jews visit the synagogues.
