1. Create a scenario that leads to an inequality of the form ax + b > c. You can use any of the inequality symbols (>, ≥,

<, ≤) in your inequality. For this step, just write the word problem.
2. Write the inequality and show all work to solve the inequality.
3. Graph the solution to your inequality on a number line.
4. Explain what your solution means in the context of the problem

Answer:

1) Ola taxi charges a $8 flat rate in addition to $2 per mile. Paul has no more than $10 to spend on a ride.

2) Let x be the number of miles.

Then, we have inequality:  8x+2\leq 10

Solve the inequality: 8x+2\leq 10

Subtract 2 from both the sides:  8x+2-2\leq 10-2

Simplify: 8x\geq 8

Divide by 8 both sides we get: x\leq 1

as shown in figure 1.

3) From the context of the problem :  we can say that Paul can travel 1 miles or less before reaching his limit of $10.

Answer:

  y = 15x

Step-by-step explanation:

You can identify the slope (constant of proportionality) by finding y when x = 1. That value is 15. It goes into the equation as the coefficient of x.

Plz HELP !!!!! I would appreciate it!!!
kicyunya [14]

Answer/Step-by-step explanation:

a. The sides of ∆ABC can be labelled as follows, taking θ as the reference point.

Adjacent = side AB

Opposite = side BC

Hypotenuse = side AC

b. I. "<B is an acute angle" => FALSE. It is a right angle (90°)

II. "The side opposite to <C is BC" => FALSE. The side opposite to <C is AB.

III. The side adjacent to <A is AB => TRUE

IV. The side opposite to <B is not the longest. => FALSE. It is the hypotenuse and the longest side.

c. Cos θ = \frac{adjacent}{hypotenuse} = \frac{AB}{AC}

Tan θ = \frac{opposite}{adjacent} = \frac{BC}{AB}

d. Sin C = \frac{opp}{hypo} = \frac{AB}{AC}

Cos C = \frac{adjacent}{hypotenuse} = \frac{BC}{AC}

Tan C = \frac{opp}{adjacent} = \frac{AB}{BC}
