The complete question is shown on the first uploaded image

Answer:

The correct option is  C

Step-by-step explanation:

The  sample

                                                                                          Household Income

                                                                                     < $60,000    > $60,000

I would never purchase a newspaper subscription.          40                63

I might or might not purchase a newspaper subscription. 53                70

I would probably purchase a newspaper subscription.     65                 32

I already purchase a newspaper subscription.                   73                 16

Generally the sample size is mathematically represented as

       n =  40 + 53 + 65+ 73 + 63 + 70 + 32+ 16

=>    n =  412

Generally the number of the sample with an income greater $60,000 is mathematically represented as

        N  =  63 + 70 + 32 + 16

=>     N  =  181

Generally the number of  families with an income more than $60,000 who might or might not purchase a newspaper subscription is

      X = 70

Generally the percentage of families with an income more than $60,000 who might or might not purchase a newspaper subscription is

           P(X) =  \frac{70}{181}  * 100

=>        P(X) =  39\%

What is the value of s in the equation below 0.3s + 0.8 (s -12)=33.3
nikdorinn [45]
First, you distribute 0.8 through the parentheses by multiplying 0.8 by s and -12, which gets you to 0.8s-9.6. Now, the equation is changed to 0.3s+0.8s-9.6=33.3. Then, you add like terms (add the two numbers with the s) by doing 0.3s+0.8s which gets you to 1.1s-9.6=33.3, all thats left is adding 9.6 on both sides which gets you to 1.1s=42.9. Now finally, you divide 42.9 by 1.1 and you get 39. The value of s in the equation is 39.

16) Your salary goes from $8.75 an hour at your present job to $16.50 an hour in your new job. What is
Agata [3.3K]

Answer:

The percent change in salary from one job to the next is 88.57%.

Step-by-step explanation:

The previous salary of per hour =  $8.75 per hour

The current salary of per hour  = $16.50 per hour

Change in the salary rate per hour  =  Current salary  -  Previous Salary

                                                             = $16.50 per hour -  $8.75 per hour

                                                             =$7.75 per hour

⇒The change in the salary per hour rate is $7.75

Now, \textrm{Percentage Change in salary}  = \frac{\textrm{Change in the rate of salary}}{\textrm{Previous Salary}}  \times 100

= \frac{7.75}{8.75}  \times 100 = 88.57

or, the change in salary percentage is 88.57%

Hence, the percent change in salary from one job to the next is 88.57%.
