A subculture is a combination of people within a society that separates itself from the original culture to which they belong, often preserving some of its originating principles.
Subcultures form their own standards and preferences regarding social, administrative and physical matters such as age, ethnic division, and occupation. Subcultures differ from countercultures. For example in the United States, subcultures might combine the group of radicals, Goths, followers of hip-hop and even bikers.
