Explanation:

This is because, when she tried to wear the booth and discovered that it was so tight, Martin tried to know the reason leading to the discovery of the money. His surprise with the discovery and expectation of taking the money led to him trying to make enquiries about it from his grandpa.

1: identify the gerund in "spelling is not the humbugs favorite activity".
Juli2301 [7.4K]

Answer:

The answers would be:

1) A

2) B

3) B

Explanation:

Gerunds are usually words that end in "ing" so the words "spelling" and "rescuing" are gerunds. Gerund phrases are parts of sentences that include the gerund and that action of the gerund.

(I got mixed up on question 2 because I forgot that question said phrase and not word)

Participles are usually words that end in "ed", so the word "stunned" would be the the participle in the sentence of "Sandy was stunned to find she'd won the contest."

Imagine you have have 5 $100 bills. The only catch is: you can't keep them. You have to give them away. Whom will you give the m
Dima020 [189]
I would give them a separate gifts, because $100 is still a lot, and you can make more people happy.

I would definitely give some (probably 2 bills) to two different homeless people. This can buy them food or anything else they need, and could brighten their day. I would donate 100 to a charity I feel is important, to contribute to a cause and show my support. I would give one to my parents, whether they need it or just to show them I care, because they spent countless dollars on raising me. I would give my last bill to a food kitchen or some sort, so they could buy ingredients and things to feed a whole block of homeless people.
