Answer: Everything was a blur of bright colors and loud cacophony. During the flood, the setting was grey and dark. One get the feeling that the sky would be dark with dark clouds and the earth would be roaring impossibly loud. Much of Johns town was composed of light houses made out of cupboards instead of firm wood or bricks.
