What’s eastern life how does nick feel about it is he right
Igoryamba

This question refers to the book The Great Gatsby.

Nick is one of the main characters in this story, and he is also the narrator. We learn that Nick moved east from the Midwest in order to try his luck in New York. He wanted to become involved in the financial boom that was taking place during the 1920s.

Nick is initially impressed by the life of luxury and glamour that he witnesses in the city. This is particularly true in the case of his relative Daisy, and her acquaintances. However, as he becomes more involved with this society, he begins to see that people are actually quite superficial and false, and that their hedonism prevents them from forming any meaningful connection to anything and anyone. He is proven right many times in the story, such as when we learn about the superficiality of Daisy's attachment to Gatsby or the lack of concern that she shows for her daughter.

Can someone please help me with this thanks
____ [38]

I will underline the predicate nouns or pronouns and mark in bolds the predicate adjectives. Remember: predicate pronouns are pronouns that are present in the predicate; predicate nouns follow the verb (and are nouns or noun phrases that renames or offers more information about the subject); predicate adjectives follow a verb and modify the subject of the sentence.

1. Itzhak Perlman is a distinguished violinist. (the noun phrase "a distinguised violinist" gives us more information about the subject "I. Perlman")

2. Born in 1945, Perlman contracted polio at the age of four. (Mr. Perlman was born in 1945 and he also contracted polio)

3. Perlman is also an award-winning teacher and conductor. (this is a compound predicate adjective: he is both a teacher and a conductor)

4. His playing style is enthusiastic, expressive, and flawless. (this predicate adjective describes Mr. Perlman's playing style)

5. When my friends and I listen to him play, we are amazed at his talent. (I think this is the sentence without subject complements)
