If a child has pulse but is no breathing ,give them 1 rescue breath every 5 to 6 seconds or about 10-12 breath per minute.The best step in managing a child with respiratory emergency is jump-start was designed specially for triaging children in disaster settings.

Through jump-start which was develops for children from infancy to 8 years old child.If child or any person and he / she is not breathing but has a pulse, give 1 rescue breath every 3 to 5 seconds or about 12 to 20 breath  every minute. Pediatric triage is a structured interviews which help a nurse or any medical provider make a decision about whether a patient needs to be seen immediately.

In this triage system there are three stages immediate,urgent,non-urgent. There are also some examples such as when patient from a large disaster are evaluated based on their medical need.
