Soon after the revolution, many in France saw that change was possible. They rose up against royalty during the French Revolution. After a long and bloody fight, the French established a democratie form of government. Colonies such as Mexico, Colombia, and Ilaiti were inspired to light for independence from Spain and France. For more than two centuries, the American Revolution has inspired people around the world to fight for their freedom.
