Puberty is the period during which an individual becomes capable of sexual reproduction. It comes from the Latin word pubertas which means "adult". This period involves all the changes in physical aspect that occur in the developing boy or girl as the individual passes from childhood to adulthood. The young people go through puberty earlier and enter into adult roles of work and family later compared to 100 years ago and today's transition into adulthood is long and disorderly compared to the situation 50 to 60 years ago.

Discuss how far sociologists would agree that the wider the family is becoming less important in people’s lives?
krok68 [10]
They would agree with this to a certain extent. The role of the extended family has of course lost it's major importance; taking care for the youngest members of a family; babies. But nevertheless, the wider family plays an important role as a support structure.

Several military officials meet to plan battle strategy. Captain Biggs thinks that General Olsen’s strategy will be ineffective
aliina [53]

Answer:

The right answer is:  d. self-censorship

Explanation:

This example concerns a combat situation in the military, but the described behavior is very common in many professions. The captain is convinced that the general´s strategy won´t be sucessful and that many lives will be lost, but he´s afraid of saying his opinion because other officers or even some of his own soldiers may think he´s a coward. Such examples have been seen in real-life cases in historical wars. Judging that he couldn´t stand repudiation or even a risk to his own career, he prefers to remain silent, to censor himself.
