Wolfgang Mozart who was christened Joannes Chrysostomus Wolfgangus Theophilus Mozart, was born in 1756. His father Leopold was skilled as a musician and composer. He was employed as a concert master for the Royal Court of Salzburg. From a very early age Wolfgang preformed before the court. Aside from composing he was very skilled in keyboarding and stringed instruments.
The boy’s early talent for music was remarkable. At three he was picking out chords on the harpsichord, at four playing short pieces, at five composing.
