In a persuasive text, the author is trying to "persuade" people to see things from his viewpoint, and generally sway their opinions to have the same view as the author him/herself.
It is the same for a bias text, as a bias text generally either have a positive bias (that, in a sense, 'upgrades' the person or thing that is being positively talked about), or is a negative bias (which is generally used more, as it is easier to talk down a certain thing or person).
