How does vertical trade help Andean people adapt to mountain living?
OLEGan [10]

The vertical trade is trade that essentially appears between people living in different elevations. In the Andean region, the vertical trade has a long history, and it has been performed between the people living in the higher parts of the Andes, and the people living in the valleys and coastal regions east and west of the Andes.

This type of trade helped the people to be able to survive and develop in both of those environments, as the people living high in the mountains were producing certain things, and the people living in the lowlands were producing certain things that both of them needed in their daily lives. Because they collaborated, they were able to create societies in totally different environments and thrive for centuries.

Why do tropical zones have a hot and humid climate year round and polar zones have a cold climate year round?
Ivenika [448]
Tropical places are hot because the humidity coming from the moisture of the plants and water are heated by the sun on the top layer of the tropical zone. The climate varies little in rain forest. There are five layers in the tropic trees so it's so thick that barely any light come through. This is also why vines grow up the trees so they can reach the sunlight to get nutrients. Also, the tropics are near the equator and that also causes the heat. The polars are cold because they barely get any sun heat to melt the snow or warm it up. The polars are melting due to certain chemicals and gasses in the atmosphere. also known as global warming. Hope that was helpful!
