No speaking while the teacher is talking, DO NOT text during class or have your phone out PERIOD, raise your hand before speaking, no handing notes to each other or the teacher will read it aloud, and lastly if you are looking up questions for homework and you have to write a sentence for it in your OWN words no writing it exactly how they say it because that is plagiarism. But really use this in your own words how you would word it because that is plagiarism.

The first attempt of construction of Panama Canal was in the 1880s and it failed but they had another attempt on 1904 which was successful. Panama expansion project also referred to as the .third set of locks project which doubled the capacity of Panama Canal it resulted by adding a new lane of traffic. Panama Canal is 48-mile international waterway which divides Panama into two parts. The canal allows ships to pass through.

The canal was built to satisfy Americans and British shipping interest which is between the Pacific and Atlantic. The United States acquired this Wake Island in 1899 by annexing Wake Island to serve as a coaling stop for ships and cable station on their way from ports along Japan from the west coast.

The competitor of Panama Canal is Suez Canal and US intermodal system. There were two main challenges which were met in building Panama Canal were tropical diseases such as yellow fever and mountainous terrain.

Mosquitoes which were a result of the diseases were rid of by doctors and the construction continued but many people lost their lives. The U.S was responsible for the construction of Panama Canal under president Theodore Roosevelt Construction expanded the trade because people had shorter routes to reach in different places.
