Answer:

How foolish i was to have believed that young woman...

It all sounded a bit odd from the beginning, and I ignored the other warning signals in my attempt to help a young woman in need.

Let me tell you how it all started: I was standing in a very short line at the mall, waiting to pay for the items I bought when I suddenly got accosted by a lady of not more than 23 years with red eyes and looking clearly in despair. She told me she had no money on her and her credit card was flagged but she really needed to get some cereal for her baby at home as he was hungry and sick.

The story sounded odd and I kept wondering why I was the one she approached out of half a dozen people. I decided to give her a hundred dollars and she thanked me profusely.

On my way to my car however, I saw her with a well-known drug dealer and it appears she's a junkie who scammed me for a quick fix

I was angry, disappointed all at the same time, but decided not to accost her and accuse her of being a disgusting thief, I walked trance-like to my car and all the while kept thinking, how foolish i was to have believed that young woman.

Select the best analogy
EleoNora [17]
Well, because the word 'mother' is the English translation of the Latin word 'mater', they mean the same thing. So, I am assuming we are supposed to find two words which have the same etymology like this one, to complete the analogy. So, I believe the answer is A) autonomy : autos, because 'autos' is the root of the word 'autonomy', the same way 'mater' is for 'mother'.

Using at least 6 sentences comment on what the following quote means to you: "There is a principle which is a bar against all in
wariber [46]

This quote means to describe the root of the deprecation of many people to properly conduct an investigation about any subject, and that root is lack of interest. In order to do something right, one must concentrate on that subject alone, ignoring all other distractions, but that can only be achieved if the investigator feels drawn to the subject - meaning they find it interesting.

Lack of interest is what accomplishes to "keep a man in everlasting ignorance...". In the case of ignorance, the investigation might go through, but it will most likely consist of a mindlessly structured compilation of other people's research which the investigator would hardly be able to interpret.
