Which sentence uses an adverb correctly?

English
1 answer:
algol [13]3 years ago
5 0

Answer:In order for a sentence to be grammatically correct, the subject and verb must both be singular or plural. In other words, the subject and verb must agree with one another in their tense. If the subject is in plural form, the verb should also be in plur al form (and vice versa).

The word "well" is an adverb. It is used to modify a verb, adverb or another adjective and answers the question "how?".

...

For example:

He plays the guitar well.

He did well on the exam.

She speaks English well.

We don't know our neighbor very well.

He did the job well.

Explanation:The rule of thumb is that good is an adjective and well is an adverb. Good modifies a noun; something can be or seem good. Well modifies a verb; an action can be done well. However, when you're talking about health, well can be used as an adjective

The myth — that you should really say "I'm well" — relies on the idea that modifying a verb requires an adverb. The verb "am," however, involves special circumstances that make "I'm good" a perfectly acceptable answer. It's true that adverbs, not adjectives, are used to modify most verbs.Feb 19, 2014,2020

What literary device is being used in the following sentence?
kiruha [24]

Answer:

A. Dialect

Explanation:

Dialects are different forms of the same language characteristic for specific regions or social groups. For example, someone from the northern part of the USA might say <em>hello</em>, while someone from the South would say <em>howdy.</em>

Irregular subject-verb agreement (<em>they was swimming</em> instead of <em>they were swimming</em>) is a characteristic of some dialects.

The word <em>yonder</em> is archaic or belongs to a dialect. It means <em>over there</em>.

Diction is the choice and use of words and phrases in speech or writing. Every writer has their own diction.

The syntax is a set of rules words and phrases follow to create sentences in a language.

The tone in literature is what the author feels about a certain subject.

Pleaseee answer
r-ruslan [8.4K]
I have done my part by offering my helping hand and have always extended it to other students in need. I have always been the helpful type, and this habit derives from personal frustration when it comes to not knowing what I need to know in order to strive for comfortability in my environment. I try to guide others and relay information that I have learned over time in hopes that it makes someone’s situation or current problem easier.
I have also been a very big advocate for equality on campus and would participate in activities that were all inclusive due to the overwhelming stresses of those who feel left out or discriminated against.
Not only would I work to make my school more enjoyable for myself, but I also work towards making it enjoyable for other’s as well.
