Answer:

Explanation:Du Bois, W. E. B. (23 February 1868–27 August 1963), African-American activist, historian, and sociologist, was born William Edward Burghardt Du Bois in Great Barrington, Massachusetts, the son of Mary Silvina Burghardt, a domestic worker, and Alfred Du Bois, a barber and itinerant laborer. In later life Du Bois made a close study of his family origins, weaving them rhetorically and conceptually—if not always accurately—into almost everything he wrote. Born in Haiti and descended from Bahamian mulatto slaves, Alfred Du Bois enlisted during the Civil War as a private in a New York regiment of the Union army but appears to have deserted shortly afterward. He also deserted the family less than two years after his son’s birth, leaving him to be reared by his mother and the extended Burghardt kin. Long resident in New England, the Burghardts descended from a freedman of Dutch slave origin who had fought briefly in the American Revolution. Under the care of his mother and her relatives, young Will Du Bois spent his entire childhood in that small western Massachusetts town, where probably fewer than two-score of the 4,000 inhabitants were African American. He received a classical, college preparatory education in Great Barrington’s racially integrated high school, from whence, in June 1884, he became the first African-American graduate. A precocious youth, Du Bois not only excelled in his high school studies but contributed numerous articles to two regional newspapers, the Springfield Republican and the black-owned New York Globe, then edited by T. Thomas Fortune.

In 1788, why was Austrias army made of many different speaking soldiers, to ultimately attack itself and lose 10% of the entire
Viktor [21]
Because Austria's army in 1788 was not one single and unified fighting force. Rather, Austria's army (Which at the time was not called Austria but the Habsburg Empire) was composed of squads from many smaller nations that were found in the Habsburg Empire. Because there were strong nationalist tendencies among these, they spoke differently and this eventually lead to big differences among different groups and attacks between each other.

Why would farmers support this populist Party belief in 1896?
LiRa [457]

The farmers would support the populist Party belief in 1896 when "Farmers would see higher crop prices due to inflation."

This is evident in the fact that the Populist party advocate for the government to place the value of the dollar-based on Silver.

This would then make the prices of products sold at inflated prices, thereby making the farmers earn more revenue and, in turn, can pay their debt.

Option A is wrong because the Populist Party did not advocate for equal transportation fees.

Option B is wrong because the Populist Party did not advocate for loans for individuals from the national banks.

Option C is wrong because the populist party did not advocate for subsidies for railroad owners.

Hence, in this case, it is concluded that the correct answer is option D. "Farmers would see higher crop prices due to inflation."

Why didn’t President Johnson want the United States to get more involved in the war in Vietnam?
denis-greek [22]

Answer:

The correct answer is C: going to war in Vietnam could hurt Johnson's social programs.

Explanation:

Lyndon Johnson was seeking to push forward a big series of social reforms called the Great Society. It consisted of programs against poverty, crime, and to improve education and medical care. Johnson argued this series of reforms would increase equality because everyone would have opportunities.

These initiatives had to be reduced because of Vietnam war efforts but continued through Republican presidents Richard Nixon (1969-1974) and Gerald Ford (1974-1977) and are until today important sources of federal education funding, older people's rights, and the right to health.
